I'm just trying to get some replies to a question I posed in another thread that garnered a total of two responses.

QUESTION:

Is anyone able to click on embedded YouTube videos in the Political Videos forum and make them work? I see a black screen in the original post instead of the 'still shot' normally seen. Also, the 'still shot' appears with the 'Latest Videos' shown on the 'Latest Discussion Threads' page.

Yeah, it's with every video. I thought it might be a problem with the code here at DU that allows embedding, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

22. have yu done a disk cleanup lately and deleted some drivers that you need to view video?

Can you go to YouTube and view them? If it's a computer problem, you should not be able to view them there either. What about other videos? Can you view the CSPAN feed via windows media player, or real player?

Reboot your machine and see if that clears up the problem. If not, then I would ask your question in the computer forum.

20. Just watched one using Opera browser. Youtube uses Flash player.

Sometimes closing browser, reopening & trying again works if there's a glitch in the browser.

Check to see if you have any blockers enabled that might be preventing the video to run.
