When you get a RW Chain Email, what do you do?

B. Reply to the Sender by giving him/her a link that debunks the sent email at Snopes?

C. Edit some choice words to make it look stupid(er) and send it on its merry way?

D. Something else?

7. You should always "reply all" to these, especially if the person has disregarded a

previous request not to send political spam to you.

Then, if they're gonna send you crap that they should be embarrassed about (both because it's stupid and hateful AND because they are defying your request), they deserve to be embarrassed by being debunked in front of their whole spam list.

One (former!) acquaintance that sent me RW emails accused me of being a Communist for debunking an email about Oliver North predicting bin Laden's rise. I directed her to both Snopes and Ollie North's own website. Some people mainline the koolaid!

Finally i just copied her address list and sent a then-current article about bush's secretly passing the bill to throw people under a jail without trial

several people wrote me telling me to take them off "my list", and she wrote and chastised me. I have received nothing further from her.

23. Avoid this mistake: My sister hit "reply all" to a msg about separation of church

and state that was saying that all the founding fathers were very religious. She replied to all that nowhere in the founding fathers' statements or our documents does it say Jesus, it says "God". She pointed out that most religions can relate to that, not just fundamentalists, Christians, or whatever, here in the USA. She was getting hateful emails for weeks and had to change her email address.
