OMG! This PSA is SO SAD!
I just saw an ad on TV about a man in his 50s having to sell his home and move into an apartment. As he's packing up and moving out of his house, he looks sadly at a photo of his wife. At the apartment, he looks at it again. After that, he drives to the hospital to visit his very sick dear wife.

At the end, there's a message:

"No one should have to lose everything because of lack of health coverage."

3. I've been seeing it the last several days on the cable news channel and it chokes me up (my Mom died
in May so seeing the older woman in the hospital bed gets to me). But it is a really good ad and oh so true for so many Americans and lack of health insurance.
There is no talking at all in the ad but it really says a lot.

5. My mom passed away this august
After a two year fight with cancer. Thank god my father works for the post office so he had medical coverage and understanding supervisors. If he didn't there is no question he would have lost everything. It was literally millions of dollars in bills covered by the insurance.

7. I'm sorry about your Mom. Mine died in May and I thank God my father and I did not have to worry
about her health coverage the last year and half as she was constantly in and out of the hospital. I don't even know what the total was but I do suspect it was well over a million.
It breaks my heart to think of people who are hurting so bad with a sick and possibly dying loved one having to worry about their health care coverage (or lack of) at that time. It's just not right.

9. Thank you for your condolences, I'm sorry for your loss
I can't bear to think what happens to the millions without health care when this happens to their loved ones. I'm glad to hear you were able to make it through that ordeal

6. it was paid for by pharma
part of the deal that Obama made with big pharm... that they'd spend X amount of money on pro-health reform ads in exchange for not allowing us to buy meds outside of US. Someone posted the youtube of the ad here recently

8. So... Big pharma gets a monopoly approved by Obama and all we get is some tearjerker?
That kinda makes me a little angry.
