The irony of the right wing "Hitler" analogies....
The "say and do anything to obstruct Obama" crowd, the knuckle draggers who constantly raise the specter of Hitler, when talking about the president's so-called "power grab, don't realize that they are really just seeing a reflection of themselves in a mirror.

The Becks, Limbaughs, Hannities and Savages of the world are, the way I see it, the true Hitler wannabe's of the World. They screech, foam at the mouth, pound their fists, lie, lie, lie, blame, blame, blame, and do nothing more than spend their every waking moment trying to throw enough fear into their pathetic audience, while using FOX News as their own personal Bavarian beer hall to shout their hatred from, to further their own personal ends.

1. One thing all those guys you mentioned have in common
They have not done one thing FOR our country. They wallow in the conservative value of selfishness and get rich on the conservative value of ignorance.

And I find it incredibly pathetic that the gop base has to fake their patriotism.

3. Traitorous propagandists.
They would hail a putsch by a corporate-friendly dictator while the rest of us took to the hills to fight for America.

4. The American Conservative right wing has a really bad case of "Hitler Envy".
Hitler was much more effective in getting his right wing agenda acted upon than the current load of American Right wing turds. They see Obama working on his agenda and maintaining reasonable popularity, so they make the mistake of equating him with the last really effective right wing leader Adolph Hitler.
Hitler was able to stand up in public make racist remarks and racial slurs, threaten to kill as well as kill enemies, invade who ever he wanted to; I tell you it is pure Hitler envy.

10. you are 100% correct, IMO... Hitler envy is right. Seriously, they are all
vying for control of the same types of people that Hitler went after...the vulnerable, the racist, the "not too politically savvy...

They have a way with words, some even have a little charisma. Seeing Glenn Beck in that ridiculous uniform so reminds me of a Hitler who is working hard to whip up blame and hate in this country. Fox News IS THE FUCKING BEER HALL, no if, ands or buts.

18. But Hitler was a liberal, don't you know...
At least that's the line that right-wing morons spew on public message boards ever since they discovered that the Nazis were actually the National SOCIALIST Party.(!)

20. There is some evidence Hitler was influenced by the play write Ibsen.
Edited on Sun Oct-25-09 04:35 PM by gordianot
edited for grammar

Being a liberal I guess you could say Hitler was a liberal when he quoted lines in his speeches from the villains in Ibsen's plays, only if you use Glen Beck logic.

8. I think it's even more ironic that they loved Bush as he created free speech zones
Or he used New Orleans as a back drop for praising FEMA and Great Job Brownie when so many had died and were left homeless and abandoned. Where was their great Christian ethic then? Where was their love of free speech then?

12. yeah, big disconnect there.
Obama does not create free speech zones, and he has not arrested anyone exercising their 2nd amendment right to carry a firearm to EVEN an event where the president is speaking. Talk about a president allowing the these assholes their freedoms that they swear he is taking away from them.... Why don't the knuckle draggers see even that?

16. Don't forget how they loved-
The Patriot Act which legalized domestic spying, and the Military Commissions Act which gave the newly created Department of Homeland Security and other National Security agencies Gestapo-like powers to whisk people away to secret prisons and hold them indefinitely without charge.

It was these sort of things that had many of us wondering if another terrorist attack would be followed by an Enabling Act-like piece of legislation that would suspend the Constitution... Which the right-wing pundits doubtlessly would have praised with vigor.

14. They openly admit to what they are-- you only have to listen.
When they say government is ineffectual and can only ever stomp on your personal liberties, they mean it. That's what they'll use it for the instant they get into power, because that's what they think it's for.

19. The right wing in this country is the closest thing to Nazi's the US has ever seen......
they try to pin that label on us in a vain attempt to make themselves look like the "good guys". Then to further make themselves look like the "good guys" they wrap themselves in the flag and flash around their false patriotism and religion for everyone too see. They (the right wing) has to use textbook fascist and authoritarian tactics to stay relevant.

I think we are all familiar with this quote “When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.” I think that pretty much sums it up right there.
