..... is always the go-to interview whenever there's an airline safety issue in the news.

And so it was today after those two pilots overflew their destination by 150 miles.

The person?

Mary Schiavo, former inspector general of the Department of Transportation and now an airline attorney. To me, she exudes all the traits I'd want to see in a person I'd turn to when the chips were and the water was rising.

7. Overworked, Underpaid, Little Sleep, Retirement Uncertain/Gone certainly makes for a bad ...

combination ... that's my guess too at this stage, simply fell asleep... I know I often fall asleep on planes, just the droning of the engines is kind of hypnotic.

situation.I believe Michael Moore is going to do a segment on these things in a forthcoming film. As I understand some pilots are working additional jobs just to try to make ends meet.
