The anti-Sarah Palin book: rave reviews for Martin Eisenstadt book
I just noticed The Washington Monthly's great review of Martin Eisenstadt's book "I Am Martin Eisenstadt: One Man's (wildly inappropriate) Adventures with the Last Republican." The review is by Atlantic Monthly Sr. Editor Joshua Green and it was cross-referenced in Andrew Sullivan's blog yesterday. The American Prospect also wrote yesterday, "this 'Martin Eisenstadt' character is pure genius."

It would seem that in this season of Sarah Palin's big book, those on the left might want to check out this Eisenstadt book - as a longtime fan of his "work", I know I'm looking forward to reading it.

here's part of the review:

"Whats consistently funny about the book is that for all that Martin Eisenstadt is an obvious parody, there is a striking similarity between his character and demeanor and those of many of the people you routinely encounter in green rooms and cocktail parties around Washington. This time, like the last time, the joke goes both ways. Thats why I intend it as real praise when I say that I Am Martin Eisenstadt is the best fake memoir of the campaign season."

4. DU slang for "kicked and recommended."
Meaning that the person replied to the post ("kicked" it to the top of the forum list) and hit the "recommend" button. Any post which has 5 or more net positive "recommend" votes appears on the "Greatest" page of recommended threads.
