TEHRAN, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Foreign Ministry summoned on Sunday Pakistani charge d'affairs to Tehran over the deadly suicide bomb attack in the country.
Following the terrorist incident in Iran's southeastern province of Sistan- Baluchestan, Iran summoned Pakistani charge d'affairs in the absence of its ambassador to Tehran.
In the meeting, Iran's Foreign Ministry official expressed his country's strong regret over the news that the terrorist elements have entered Iran using Pakistan territory, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.
The Iranian official urged the Pakistani authorities to "strongly deal with the movement of the terrorist elements in the soil of Pakistan," the report said.
For his part, the Pakistani charge d'affairs condemned the Sunday terrorist attack in Iran and expressed his country's deep sympathy with Iranians over the terrorist attack. Stating that Pakistan itself is the victim of terrorism, he claimed his country's readiness to cooperate with the Islamic Republic to identify the terrorists and to fight them.
