It's like the entire cast skipped rehearsal this week.

1. They're playing cutouts from seasons past
after every Bud Light Wheat commercial.

2. this is way better than the first three weeks
I've laughed a lot so far from "obama" throwing baucus out the window to the beauty and the beast sketch.

6. Isn't it odd how, year after year, people keep on watching it
just hoping it will turn back into what it was decades ago? That's not gonnna happen because they worry too much now, about being politically neutral.

20. Enough people watch to keep the show on the air,
but what else are they really going to show on a Saturday night? The other networks don't run anything late Saturday night.

5. The "don't ask, don't tell" bit during Weekend Update (on now) is pretty funny, imho
Seems like the only funny parts lately are the intro sketch and Weekend Update, though.

11. WHAT? It was hysterical tonight!
People have been lamenting the demise of SNL since 1979. And it always "comes back". --d!

12. I don't know about historically bad, but it was strange
that they could not keep straight face on so many of the skits. And, no I am not referring to the archives clips with Amy Pohler (sp?)..

15. Huh? I thought it was the best show in years!
Am I really that out of sync with the rest of the world? The "classic" outtakes sucked big time, as did the secretary thing at the end, but the rest was hysterical! The alien thing was awesome! Best cast since the early days.

16. With those who thought tonight's show was excellent.
I've seen a lot of putrid stuff out of the show in the last few years, but tonight's episode was pretty consistently good. The old dress rehearsal footage from the 90s and 00s with all the screw-ups was interesting to see, and most of the sketches were actually funny for a change.

17. I am not quite up to excellent
but it was better than usual. I watched it with mixed emotion. Some parts I laughed and some parts I grimaced, but usually I just grimace. By the way, the PBS special on the Latino performance at the White House is on now. 1 a.m. central time.

19. SNL has the worst writers on television, IMO.
The Lonely Island guys are good for an occasional chuckle, but man, the rest of SNL's writing crew is ATROCIOUS.
