Another republican idiot on Facebook

I have an old high school friend and she is a republican. No biggie - she knows I am a democrat but we do not discuss politics. Anyway, she has a son that is a senior in high school and he is being scouted my Princeton and Columbia for full scholarships. They have been on recruiting visits to both colleges and my friend has posted the photos on Facebook. All comments, including mine have been the basic -"congratulations" - "you must be proud" - "what an honor" etc. until yesterday when she posted some pictures of Columbia. One of her friends (I don't know her and do not know how my friend knows her) posted this comment:

"it just kills me thought that these schools are so darn liberal. I know that your wonderful parenting will keep him straight wherever he decides to attend. Very impressive."

So then could not resist posting the following:

"It is kind of funny that the most prestigious colleges and universities are "liberal" - Hmm, I wonder why that is?"

The idiot just commented:

"FORTUNATELY it isn't because of there values...."

What the hell does that even mean? Out of respect for my friend I am not going to make any additional comments. I just find it all so amusing. I love the misspellings in her comments!!!
