Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaah -why are you Republican?
Posted by Larry Pituch on 10/14/2009 1:31:35 AM

Why did the Republican Party leave me? I have voted Republican my entire life but can no longer do so; it is being held hostage by the lunatic fringe factor that I refuse to be associated with; I find the current track that this party is on to be an insult to my intelligence and should be to any free thinking American. Sarah Palin; OMG?!! I voted for George W. both times but by the end of his term was very disappointed in his performance and lack of skill in virtually every area. His blatant disregard for the Constitution; which every Republican holds sacred, caused great shame, not only to his enemies, but to most Americans, as well to citizens of almost every other country in the world. It is interesting that Obama's Nobel Peace Prize was more of a commentary by the rest of the world (or at least a small set of judges); we need to show the rest of the world that we are not just war-mongerers and bullies

P.S. The banner to this website looks a lot like the Chinese flag; are you trying to rub it in to the many Americans that have lost their manufacturing jobs to China?

1. Kinda hard to imagine what they thought they were voting for all these years...
But it must be a rude awakening, no matter when it finally happens.

"...but by the end of his term was very disappointed in his performance and lack of skill in virtually every area."

Wait...it took you EIGHT FUCKING YEARS to realize what a total incompetent whack-job Idiot George is?

:eyes:

I bet this jackass STILL voted for McCain/Moosalini.

7. That's a safe bet
He's a Republican because he's very slow and it took him years to purge the Kool-Aid from his system.

20. At least he DID finally realize it.
That is a lot better than the sheep still marching along to their own demise. I would accept crossovers from the GOP at any point. They make the best spokespeople to bring others over to our side.

4. Two of my relatives, Republicons all their lives, have recently cashed in their chips
They each -- independently of each other -- hit the wall with the smallness and the hatred that characterize the Republicons of today. They came to realize that the Republicon Party is in no way 'conservative' and has absolutely no plan for America, other than to tear down the people and institutions they are jealous of...

So the Republicons are coninuing to hemorage members, as they continue to act without honor or dignity...

5. Read all seven pages
The bleeding will continue and I'm lovin' it.
Maybe the horrific red background is blood and not the Chinese flag. Whatever, it's hard on the eyes.

8. You see the guys above him?
I'm 24 years old am I'm here because of Ron Paul. During the 2008 campaign, something happened when I saw this video that made me want to do something about what is going on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG2PUZoukfA

I am a life-long Republican, with a conservative tradition going back to my grandparents. I am still Republican because there is still one Republican leader who still acts like one: RON PAUL And God willing he just might run for president again.

I'm a Republican because Ron Paul showed me the meaning of Liberty!...And I needed to register Republican to vote for Dr. Paul in the primary.

13. Have you noticed they're still using the Satanic star on the elephant on the new website?
Edited on Wed Oct-14-09 07:25 AM by Ian David

They've got the stars tilted so that the point isn't directly on the bottom anymore.

Russert Watch: General McCaffrey, Yearly Kos, and the Bloated Corpse of al-Zarqawi

<snip>

Speaking of the party blogs, Thom Hartmann brought this up last week on his show... What's the deal with the upside-down stars on the official GOP logo? I'm not making this up. The three stars on the official logo are upside-down. I thought upside-down stars signified, amongst other things, Satanism. At least that's what my Mom told me when I was 13-years-old and wanted to buy Motley Crue's "Shout At The Devil" album. From Carl Teichrib's Pentacles and Pentagrams:

"Going deeper yet, the upside-down star/pentagram has long been recognized as the symbol of Satan. Anton LaVey, author of the Satanic Bible and The Satanic Rituals, lavishly used this symbol in his ceremonies and rituals -- most often depicted as the 'goat's head.'"

There's a great example of the upside-down star logo on the GOP En Espanol site. Wait -- what? The GOP has a website in Spanish? I thought they wanted English as our national language.

So let's get this straight. Right-side-up stars signify the American flag and the forces of good; the upside-down star signifies Satan, Motley Crue, the GOP, and a goat's head; and the upside-down star with two humps on top signifies the forces of Bam Margera. Got it. Let's move on.
