I think we should really be asking why should we want to stay being Republicans? That would be the courageous and honest question for us to be discussing. Since when do the likes of Limbaugh and Beck set our agenda? Since when are our leaders so mindlessly against EVERYTHING? There is nothing conservative about pre-emptive wars. There is nothing conservative about hypocritically spending a surplus into a huge deficit. There is nothing conservative about trying to push a far right religious agenda -- that's radical! There is nothing conservative about outrageous rhetoric and being rude. Since when do WE make heroes out of people who boorishly flout time honored manners in the halls of our government. Aren't we supposed to be in favor of law and order? I'm sorry, but I think and feel like we have allowed greedy corporate CEO's (who have forgotten their obligation to give back, build up and be patriotic Americans) and frankly, a increasingly violent mob to take over. What happened to the all the common sense, decent, and reasonable Republicans? Our health care system IS a mess, and every middle class American knows it. Do YOU like your health insurance company? We do need reform, and no, we can not allow the insurance CEO's to ruin this part of our economy like the Wall Street financiers and banksters just did. Now, I fully expect to be called all sorts of names, and once again, just walk away in disgust from what this party seems to have become. However, I thought I'd try just once more to see if there is ANYONE out there who would like to see this party reclaim some sanity. We'll see.
