Coming soon to a school near you: Anti-abortion protests with graphic pictures
Then there are the protesters like James Pouillon, who was shot dead here last month while holding an anti-abortion sign outside a high school. A martyr to some, an irritant to others, Mr. Pouillon in death has become a blessing of sorts for the loosely acquainted activists who knew him as a friend: proof that abortion doctors are not the only ones under duress, proof that protests matter, and a spark for more action.

“Jim suffered the persecution for us,” said Dan Brewer, who recalls swearing at Mr. Pouillon during one of his one-man protests in the ’90s, only to join him later after becoming a born-again Christian. “Now we just have to go out and do it.”

A national tribute is already planned. Anti-abortion groups are calling on protesters to stand outside schools with signs that depict abortion on Nov. 24 in 40 to 50 cities nationwide.

I can't find any more info yet. I believe they plan on using graphic pictures of aborted fetuses.

I have found some truly noxious sites while looking. I have to shower.

1. I had a teacher in Catholic HS who would put those up under the maps.

He would show us all the aborted fetuses when he was on a RW streak. Of course many of us would sneak in his room and put hard core porn posters over his dead babies just to piss him off. He's be on a streak and try to show us the fetus chop suey to hammer the point home and WHOOPS! Look, if she spread them any more you can see her kidneys!

That guy made more pro-choicers...

2. It's going to be up to the community, the parents,

to address that problem, since schools don't have jurisdiction over what people do outside school grounds.

Why are they holding students hostage for their cause? Does the 1st amendment guarantee them the right to demonstrate to minors?

3. We should co-opt this idea
And show up to Congressional offices with large sign-pictures of people who have died due to lack of health insurance. "Pro-life" my ass. These people are pro-fetus and that's it.

4. The come to our public university
And they get a much better spot than any other organization that wants a "free speech" area, right in front of the large classroom building with huge traffic. But I would bet I would loose my little university job in a minute if I said anything to these creeps. The last time they came through I laughed though because it was the WORST weather of the fall, downpours on them just about the whole time their hateful display was in evidence. The signs leading to their sick mess said "this way to genocide" or something. A friend of mine thought it was something to do with Darfur, but was totally disgusted to see what it really was. They were trying to lure people to them through the outrage people were feeling over the Darfur situation at the time.
