Rush Limbaugh on Countdown: He Looks Like...
Archie Bunker!

I swear, I did a double take when I saw him bloviating about Obama--he looks just like Archie on a rant.

1. i think m$nbc/nbc is exposing him. he came off looking quite unhinged to me.
couldn't think of one good thing this President has done.

someone should remind him that the country LIKES President Obama

they had him on the today show this morning with part 2 tomorrow.

3. All In The Family
Was so important back in the day for changing public opinion by making fun of the wingnuts of the day and their opinions.

4. I was thinking the same thing!
But didn't want to degrade poor Carroll O'Connor!

8. True, Carroll O'Connor was a hero in his way,

and in no way like Limbaugh, even though his "Archie" character may resemble Rush somewhat. The difference was that Archie had a heart, underneath the rants, and he also had "values" ... something that Rush doesn't have a clue about. Archie was faithful to Edith and, after all, he took in the kids (his daughter and SIL"Meathead") until they were able to support themselves. Archie could rant from the high ground, so to speak. There was generally a divergence between his words and his actions, however.
I've always had a soft spot for Archie, in part because Carroll O'Connor was a good, decent and liberal man, who put his money and talent where his mouth was. Unlike Limbaugh who used the excuse of a boil to avoid military service, for example, O'Connor enlisted in the Merchant Marine during WWII, after being rejected by the Navy.
********
O'Connor also had a connection to my birth state of MT. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carroll_O'Connor

He's another good one that we lost in the 21st century. Sigh.

6. Rush looks like a drug-abusing, draft-dodging Republicon
Funny about that.

7. He's a lousy interviewee
He was shouting at her and overreacting to everything she said, rolling his eyes, pretending to be bored and play yawning to show disdain. It's obvious blustering false bravado trying to disguise his defensiveness. His responses to his racist remarks are hollow and don't disguise the truth, and he knows it.

It's also pretty obvious that being seen as the defacto leader of the Republican party is something he doesn't like since he so vehemently denies it. If he has any honesty in self examination he'll feel he failed that interview. Which he did.

9. More Schtick...
The NBC reporter was an embarassment...pretty much let Rushbo take control of the interview and looked like an inept fool.

But then this wasn't an interview to question Rushbo as much as it was to try to make headlines with him. Hopefully NBC got their little "bump", but they got played in the process.

There's a reason Rushbo doesn't do many interviews. Anyone with a conscious and a brain will take issue with him and when confronted with facts and reality, Rushbo loses his swagger. He knew this "reporter" could be steamrolled and he made the most of it.

11. My fav part is his opinion of the last election
yeah he spent 4 months destroying John McCain then complains John McCain lost the election because the base was unmotivated to vote for him. But he's the one that motivates the base. Hey Rush yah think maybe those 4 months hurt your Republican party... The guy can't remember today what he said yesterday.
