GW could stand for either Bush or Global Warming... both are equally destructive.

Cheap Safe Drug Kills Most Cancers
Written by geri
Monday, 22 January 2007
It sounds almost too good to be true: a cheap and simple drug that kills almost all cancers by switching off their “immortality”. The drug, dichloroacetate (DCA), has already been used for years to treat rare metabolic disorders and so is known to be relatively safe. It also has no patent, meaning it could be manufactured for a fraction of the cost of newly developed drugs...

Evangelos Michelakis of the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, and his colleagues tested DCA on human cells cultured outside the body and found that it killed lung, breast and brain cancer cells, but not healthy cells. Tumours in rats deliberately infected with human cancer also shrank drastically when they were fed DCA-laced water for several weeks....

The next step is to run clinical trials of DCA in people with cancer. These may have to be funded by charities, universities and governments: pharmaceutical companies are unlikely to pay because they can’t make money on unpatented medicines. The pay-off is that if DCA does work, it will be easy to manufacture and dirt cheap. (NewScientist.com)

So why haven't we heard this all over the MSM? Oh yeah... "These may have to be funded by charities, universities and governments: pharmaceutical companies are unlikely to pay because they can’t make money on unpatented medicines." There's no money in the cure...

4. Something tells me that most of them wouldn't mind switching professions...
Somehow I don't think you get into caring for cancer patients for the cash. That seems more like a spiritual calling than a job opportunity... though I'm sure the money helps.

I sometimes wonder why they chose it.

15. I'm thinking of moving into Hospice
I think I get it. They are compassionate but competitive and like to see the good guy win (the human, not the cancer). The best ones, though, are the ones who can accept that not all cancers can be beat and help the people on their last journey.

10. we should do a bunch of things like cuba did
and a bunch more things like they did not

surviving the kind of economic isolation they had forced on them for so long is remarkable, especially the way they see to the basic needs of their citizens

16. Yes!
When it comes to the healthcare business, I think it should be nationalized. But Pharma more than anything else.

12. Now we don't have to worry about cancer-causing chemicals anymore!
Now we can load up our food with preservatives, color dyes, and artificial flavors without worrying!
Hooray!
