Two maniacs on rampage kill half a million people! Dial 911!
Edited on Tue Apr-17-07 05:52 AM by Philosoraptor
I was raised around guns, all types, as a kid I'd go shooting with my dad, not hunting, just target shooting, I've never hunted and neither did he, but we both like to shoot guns. Fortunately we are not maniacs, maniacs shouldn't have access to guns.

And of course maniacs shouldn't have access to armies, or you end up with two maniacs like bush and cheney, who shouldn't even have sharp objects. While we fret about the latest, awful gun rampage, our two maniac leaders use our military as if they were on a high school rampage. Our soldiers are pulling the triggers, but dick and dubya own the guns and they picked the targets.

The maniac yesterday killed 32 innocent people, dick and dubya have killed half a million by last count, but no one has even called the cops. They started their rampage 5 years ago, and we are killing them over there so they don't kill us over here, or something like that.

Some maniacs can kill 3000 people with cheap box cutters, so we are told. Some maniacs can kill half a million people with fountain pens, as with dick and dubya. Someone needs to take away dick and dubya's armies, because maniacs shouldn't have guns or armies. Stop the senseless rampage of the two maniacs now. Take away their weapons and they are simply two useless maniacs who should be behind bars or on death row.

So does America really have a sick obsession with guns, or is it a little deeper than that?

4. Obviously
My brother-in-law recently bought his bi-polar girlfriend a handgun for their anniversary. I found this strange, considering we live in the kind of place where people don't lock their doors (Up until recently my back door didn't even have a lock on it). So I asked her what the gun was for, she said protection. She then proceeded to describe all the scenarios where she was gonna use the gun to scare off would be attackers. I laughed in her face. I told her if she wanted to use her gun for protection then she better be prepared to point and shot or else she would be the one being held at gun point. When are stupid people gonna learn that Guns Kill People, that is their sole purpose for being.

6. Most folks just freeze when in scary situations.
Most think that the rod gives them an edge, but it rarely does to a sneak attacker.

One never knows how one will react till it happens.

9. That's just...stupid. Sorry, I have no other descriptive term.
A gun is a SERIOUS WEAPON. Most serious weapons are designed to KILL whatever or whoever they are being used upon.

She really needs to consider that if she DOES get in a situation where she pulls the gun on someone to make her point, then she'd better be prepared to use it.

They go BANG really loudly. It hurts your ears, and your hand, and your arm flies up (which may ruin your shot), because even .22 calibers have a kick.
And it makes one hell of a mess out of whatever or whoever you were firing at, even if you are just doing the 'shoot 'em in the leg' thing.
Then you get to live with the fact that you shot somebody.
Rightfully or wrongfully, that's one HELL of a thing to have to carry.

Carrying a SERIOUS WEAPON doesn't make you safer, or bigger, or badder; in most cases it just ups the ante.

7. With enough guns, & g.w., we are safer than ever!
We may need those guns soon if we don't take care of the tyrants.

8. American taxpayers own the guns
and voters put Dick and W in charge of our armies so those two could get richer off of no-bid contracts. And yes America obviously has a sick obsession with guns and the gunman was South Korean, NOT American.
