A Farewell tribute to my heavily bumper-stickered 2001 Toyota Prius (Dial-Up Warning)Updated at 6:44 PM

Watch for edits

These are the last photos I will ever take of my 2001 First-Generation Toyota Prius.

After 9 years and 150,000 miles, it finally cost more to fix than it was worth.

I'd like to put a bunch on our truck, but my husband doesn't like them. The only ones we have are a Diane Benson for Congress and a "How do you spell Vietnam in Arabic" and a couple of "support our troops, bring them home" ribbon magnets. So I've put all my bumper stickers on my camera case, MY territory alone. :)

Ours is a 2006 with 90k on.

Not a hint of a problem yet.

The whole thing would have cost over $3,000 in parts alone to fix.

But the dealership is selling it to a wholesaler. It becomes the wholesaler's call whether to replace the whole bumper or not.

Underneath all those stickers are some dings and dents.

11. I thought my little geo metro was wallpapered in bumperstrips
but your prius has me beat! Love all your bumperstickers! You've even got a Howard Dean sticker! (I kick myself for removing mine after the dem primary back when.)

I'll cry when I have to part with my little car. She's over a decade old but young in miles (50,000.) Got 38 mpg when new and about 33 now. I can fit both my dogs (below), my toolbox, extra clothes, a snow shovel, groceries, and a whole lot of other stuff inside.

The radio came on and was playing the intro to the Rush Limbaugh Show.

If I hadn't already paid for it, I would have burned it.
