Most Americans see Afghan fight worth US bloodshed: poll
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20091007/ts_alt_afp/usafghanistanpoliticspoll

"NEW YORK (AFP) – A solid majority of Americans are willing to see some of their countrymen die to achieve a terror-free Afghanistan, but US misgivings about sending more troops remain, a poll released Wednesday said.

Sixty-five percent of US voters "are willing to have American soldiers 'fight and possibly die' to eliminate the threat of terrorists operating from Afghanistan," according to the Quinnipiac University poll. Only 28 percent said otherwise."

I wonder how many of those people who think it is worth it are either willing to go themselves or send their children, and if it turns out that the majority of that group isn't willing to do that, then they can go f**K themselves, because it will mean that the last eight years under bush was a true reflection of this country

6. I agree. I wonder how they would answer if those Americans they said they would allow to die
were their children or parents or siblings?

5. I understand your point, but keep in mind it took 10 plus years and 60,000 Americans
killed with a draft before they realized it was a mistake

and even with a draft, the influential families are always protected
