inasmuch as I believe both sides can claim a level of victory and also of defeat. She hammered him with facts, he stood his ground about not disclosing his donors. It was actually like watching two intelligent, civil people debate each other. He proved himself to be a formidable opponent, hiding Dr. Evil behind civil law.

He scored a lot of points just for showing up. He also maintained his unassuming mannerism by continuing to smile, being friendly and trying to change/deflect subjects he didn't want to talk about. However, Rachel did a pretty good job of being a journalist and staying focused and probing for answers while not battering.

What it came down to, for me, was listening to what he was saying and realizing he was trying his best to dodge answering her questions.

I must say it was refreshing to see two people go at it and not lose their cool. It reminded me more of the "old days" when "Meet The Press" was an actual question and answer show rather than the dog and pony show it is now.

17. No. I came away with the impression that he's being paid, albeit indirectly,

to set up those websites. It's not something that Rachel proved, or could prove, but given that this guy's a professional PR guy, and the positions he's espousing out of the alleged goodness of his heart? Oh yeah -- he's getting some money for it somewhere.
