Rush may be in talks to purchase the St. Louis Rams

ST. LOUIS - Published and broadcast reports say radio personality Rush Limbaugh and St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts are joining together in a bid to purchase the St. Louis Rams.

KMOX Radio and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch report that the Checketts group has made a bid on the Rams and would keep the team in St. Louis. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello declined comment to The Associated Press on Tuesday, and the Rams said in a statement that a "strategic review" continues.

In a statement to KMOX, Limbaugh confirms the bid but would not name additional partners.

3. They'll Gladly Take His Money...

This dude has "fish" written all over him. The Rams are in real sad shape...the team is a constant loser and each week more and more people show up as empty seats. The economic bust has driven a lot of wannabe owners out of the market...so a dude with a bulging wallet who thinks he knows how to run things is a sucker too big to pass up.

I heard from a friend in St. Louis that the natives aren't too crazy on El Rushbo sitting in the owners box and it may backfire as people decide not to renew season tickets and boycott the team.

And then there are the black players on the team...not sure how much they'd want to win for a guy who thinks of them as inferior.
