Betsey McCaughey's claim to fame is pushing the "death panel" distraction.

Reminds me of the other Republican propagandist Peggy Noonan who pushed "Morning in America" to get the public to vote to have Ronnie Reagan rob us blind and trade arms with the enemy, instead of following Jimmy Carter's "Debbie Downer" lead and re-examining our materialism so we could move toward more sustainable development and free ourselves from the destructive dominance of importing oil from the Middle East.

And because Democrats allowed the Bush Gang to label their inefficient private insurance pool for the elderly "Medicare Advantage" I'll bet McCaughey will incorporate those statistics into her discussion of Medicare to show that pretend that Medicare is not cost effective.

I have liked Anthony Weiner's approach, too. He's the friendly Democratic opposition-- standing firm about the advantages of single payer.
