When I was 13, I thought Harrison Ford was the HOTTEST GUY EVER
Edited on Wed Sep-30-09 02:31 PM by WildEyedLiberal
I'm not that old, so when I was 13, Harrison Ford was in his 50s. But I still thought he was the hottest guy, like, ever. I dreamed about how HOT it would be to do it with INDIANA JONES. I mean, how HOT would that have been? If I'd met Harrison Ford, oh boy! That would've just been the most exciting thing ever. I'd have wondered if he'd think I was cute or charming - if he'd like me too!

None of this changes that fact that, if I HAD met Harrison Ford when I was 13, and all my sexy dreams about him did come true, he'd have been a sick fucking pervert for fucking a 13 year old girl, no matter how star-struck said girl might be. I can't believe that some people here are arguing that 13 year old girls have the emotional or intellectual maturity to consent to sex with adult, grown men.

We used to have Creature Double Feature on tv every Saturday afternoon, and naturally I was glued to the screen. Two horror movies back to back? I'm so there! The Godzilla movies were always my fave, but the Hammer movies were right behind them. My first crush was Caroline Munro.

6. We must be about the same age
Ditto on the Junior High Harrison Ford crush. And 13 year olds are NOT mentally adults. And even when adults say "no" and "I want to go home" that puts sex into the rape category, let alone with a 13 year old.

I guess it's just the American way to want to give celebrities the pass on things like this. I just expect that sort of opinion out of people. I'm not that into celebrities. I seiously doubt that some average guy would have many people wanting him to get a pass for the same crime. A minority guy with no money probably would have been sent away quickly and for quite some time for the same crime.

21. Oh, god, I was right there with you on the Harrison Ford thing. He was my first
celebrity crush. I was 11 when Empire Strikes Back came out, and I had feeling in that movie theater that I had never experienced before. From that moment until I was in high school, I was pretty much obsessed. I thought he was the hottest living creature on the planet, and Raiders of the Lost Ark only made my crush worse.

I know you're making a serious point (and I agree with you) but mostly I wanted to say thanks for the memories.

he'd probably make an alternate list), but nothing has ever quite matched the intensity of attraction I felt at that time. The weird part is that I'm usually attracted to nerdy sensitive guys. The only other time that came close was when I saw Gladiator. I never thought Russell Crowe was all that before or since, but in Gladiator WOW he rocked my world!

86. Well, I have a couple choices for how I'm going to go out
No health insurance, or if you have some, you'll get dropped. That vague nagging pain in your innards? That's the harbinger of a long drawn-out torturous death in a low-rent clinic where all treatment is overworked and grudging, and you're a smoker so as your insurance company, that you've been paying hundreds a month for, we're licensed to drop you or pillage your elderly parents' retirement money and take their house to pump your IV....OR

You have lots of hot sex with a Naveen Andrews character. Of course, his character is a karmically doomed assassin, so the plot dictates that you must be shot quickly after your ninth orgasm.

Honestly, really. :D It's clear. English accent is just fine; though I'm kind of kinky so his Iraqi torturer role has appeal too.

Women don't want the older alpha male who has money and a steady job and is a good provider and is boring.

Women don't want the guy next door who is age-appropriate and polite and is boring.

Harrison Ford threw an evolutionary spanner in the works that geneticists and anthropologists will still be trying to sort out 10,000 years from now.

Ever since 1977, women have wanted HAN SOLO.

Who is probably not the best "provider" considering his dangerous debts. Not much of a "knight in shining armor" either considering how often he needs rescuing himself. Wealth? Eh....the Millennium Falcon is a space beater. Good genes? Well, yeah, looks-wise, but we admire him mostly for his SKILL, which is learned and not hereditary.

But he could really make Leia laugh, and he really did look good in those pants.

Be friendly, be good company most of the time but a smartass when called for, be kind to children and animals, have a kinky streak in the bedroom, and have a nice bum, those are all good credentials. But being able to make her laugh is NUMBER ONE.

It is no wonder kids are confused.

As civilized people we strive to control our animal instincts.
As animals we have instinctual urges.

Youth are beautiful.
Our civilization requires we protect them from the animals among us.

Just sayin'. I think WEL's point is that, yes, 13-year-old girls have sexual desires (at least many do). They have fantasies. They love to ogle older men (or women) and they dream of catching that man's (or woman's) eye. This is common, HEALTHY, and NORMAL.

What's also healthy and normal is for adults to exercise their greater maturity and judgment to say thanks, but no thanks, should this ever happen to them. No adult should ever fuck a 13-year-old EVEN IF SHE WANTS IT!

Little kids also want to drive race cars, shoot guns, and jump into the zoo cage to pet the tigers. It's totally fine and normal for them to fantasize about these things. It doesn't mean it's OK for adults to go along with it.

Seemed like a free-range rant that wasn't really attached to anything you said. Also sounded like someone who thinks the idea of young girls ridden with puberty hormones having sexual fantasies of any kind is something NEW and SCARY that he DOESN'T UNDERSTAND. (I wonder how many 13-year-old girls were haunting the Globe Theatre back in Shakespeare's day to try to meet and nail their favorite actors. Some of whom would have been in drag onstage, no less.)

As for "older men," well, I'm 40, and I still have the occasional private mental time with John Kerry even though he's older than my dad. I think it's because he's **almost** capable of the Han Solo grin. Your sig pic is close.

And I'm a little more than half your age  What can I say? There's nothing sexier than a mature, handsome, assertive man with good hair and a rogueish grin ;)

65. MM-hhmm. And he's tall, well-traveled, very smart, has nice shoulders, and good liberal principles.
All definitely in the plus column.

Actually, I'm having a certain amount of "OMG I'M OLD" trauma because, well, Obama....he's only 8 years older than me. And I do find him attractive. And this is worrying because I've always thought of the President as a remote, old father figure ("Good father" and "bad father" are both Jungian archetypes, love the POTUS or hate him.)

But Obama is more of the "older sister's boyfriend whom I desperately crave but cannot say so" archetype.

My dad says, "You don't really feel old until the POTUS is younger than you." Happened to him the first time with Clinton.

40. Whoa! I think I just threw up in my mouth a bit.
I've never considered significantly older men than myself "sexually" attractive.
To each his/her own.

49. Really? Truly?
You never had a fantasy or even a brief hot flash about a movie star or musician who's logged a few decades ahead of you?

OK. I believe it (barely). Everyone can only speak to their own experience, after all. I think you're in a minority, though. Not gender-specific either - my last serious boyfriend, a few years younger than me, claimed a place on his 'free list' for Patti Smith, who's older than my mom.

67. I'm suffering the hot flash for someone younger than I am
Of course, I'm married, and I'm old. If he suddenly developed some kind of interest in smart-mouthed, roly-poly, fortysomething blondes, I'd want to be at the top of his list. He's the only name on mine.

:woohoo:

69. Age ain't nothin' but a number.
The latest guy I shacked up with for 6 years was a few years younger than me. He's still a close friend. And he looks way older, WOW there is so much grey in his beard stubble now! He's only 36 but he's wearing it hard!

Her point is that, yes, 13-year-old girls might desire and flirt with an older man who's hot and famous. Whoopty. The onus is on the older man, being an ADULT, to sign an autograph for her, kiss her on the cheek, say, "Study hard, pursue your dreams," and walk away.

A 13-year-old boy might love action movies and daydream about starring in one. That doesn't mean it's OK to sign him up for Special Forces and hand him a machine gun, right? No. We frown on child soldiers here in the US, just like we frown on child fucking. If that theoretical child meets his favorite action movie star, that guy should sign an autograph for him, shake his hand, say something like "Study hard, Pursue your dreams," and walk away.

If you happen to be in a position where a 13-year-old is coming on to you sexually (yeah right, like it would ever happen to you), it's simple: say, "Study hard, pursue your dreams," and WALK AWAY.

And, newsflash: any girl you're thinking about nailing? If you suspect there is even the slightest chance she might be underage? It's easy. SAY NO. Really. Not that hard. Try it. I know it's advertised as good for women, but believe it or not, men can do it too. Yes, really.

Stalinist feminists want to obsess over
Roman Polanski raping a 13 y/o thirty five
years ago doesn't mean I or any males on this
board have listen to you lot accusing all men of
being actual or potential rapists.

I thought your brand of doctrinaire feminism
went out with the emergence of Ann Rice and
Camille Paglia and the demise of Dworkin

But I guess not. For some feminists Misandry
is perfectly OK if it serves to avenge the
sex crimes of every man since the dawn of time.

With that I bid adieu from this thread and this
topic never to return.

84. Stalin was no feminist!
I'm "sorry" that I went on at length about how any adult man who'd willingly fuck a 13-year-old child has serious ISSUES.

Anne Rice? You mean the woman who wrote a few half-decent vaguely homoerotic (male) vampire novels and a few historical romances, then got religion and started writing unreadable novels about Jesus? Uhhhh, not a feminist by any stretch of the imagination...she's all about men and God. Camille Paglia is just into her own rantings, and Andrea Dworkin is dead.

There are thousands of worthy living women writers, and I'll bet you can't name a single one of them, can you?

88. I think that post wins the misogyny gold medal
And there's unfortunately some STIFF competition for that prize.

First he bitches about the 13 year old Lolita nymphets so evilly and callously seducing the poor helpless old men... and then goes on a tirade about "Stalinist feminist" (what?) because you pointed out that adults have the responsibility to not fuck kids.

WOW.

when RP won the Best Director Oscar for "The Pianist," HF was the one who took it to him.

That has nothing to do with the OP, though.
