This is what the gunmen want. This is what Iran wants.
Most surveys of the Iraqi people in general say they
do not support it. Partitioning Iraq can create
as many problems as it solves.

5. Already being made
We have no business trying to impose such a decision on them, and in any case,the Iraqis seem to be in the process of making the decision themselves. Suppose the Chinese were taking a poll as to whether the United States should be divided along ethnic and sectarian lines. Would we welcome that? It would be none of their business, and it was Bush who decided that the internal affairs of a geographical area designated as "Iraq" after World War I was now our business.

7. Not sure if it will do anything other than increase total number of votes as this is an issue
that there is no consensus on. I voted yes because it's going to happen whether we want it or not.
