Rallies Boycott Muslim Stamp

By Wilton Johnson

Five East Texas Post Offices saw protesters boycotting an eight year old stamp, now in its sixth reissue.

Brandi Dudley's trip to the post office was delayed a bit this morning. She had to see what the fuss was in front of it. She found out "We the People" representatives were boycotting this stamp commemorating Eid-al-Fitr and Eid-al-Adha, Muslim holidays. They say our country has strayed way to far from its Christian founding.

"I think this is great because without Jesus Christ our nation wouldn't have come as far as it has and already we're turning as a nation from him," Dudley remarked.

Organizer Teresa Richenberger says this isn't about the stamp as it is about pushing Christian values to the back of the religious spectrum in mainstream politics. She says other religions are given far more courtesy than Christianity.

"The people are responding. They're agreeing about what we're doing we have not had anyone negative, everyone is wanting the same thing we want which is our Christian heritage back in America," Richenberger stated outside Kilgore's Post Office.

East Texas: Leading the Charge back to the Dark Ages.

This is the kind of crap that surrounds me on a daily basis.

2. And just watch these assholes scream PERSECUTION when they can't put a cross on the statehouse dome
The only consolation is that most of them will be dead within the next 10 years.

3. "She says other religions are given far more courtesy than Christianity."
The thing that gets me is that they really believe this stuff.

How can anyone say with a straight face that Christianity gets worse treatment than other religions in this country?

7. You can guess what my next stamp purchase will be.
I think the old bag's head will explode. She told me and my partner that "everyone in this town is Republican". :grr:

We said, "We're gonna change that".

:banghead:

A couple of months ago I got some Simpsons stamps. Apparently the woman at the counter had no idea who The Simpsons were, and the woman behind me in line had never seen The Simpsons either. No clue.

But then you have to watch and listen to The Simpsons to get the jokes. And there is no laugh track to tell you when to laugh, either, like a trained dog on cue.

8. Fine. We'll get rid of all religious stamps
This kind of bickering is what happens when you open that door to even acknowledging religious holidays.

Um, would this be the same poor neglected and abused Christianity that has had the USPS printing RELIGIOUS Christmas stamps for literally decades??

Uh huh. I thought so.
