I love all the characters that Peter Sellers plays, but I really enjoy George S. Scott as Gen. Buck Turgidson and Sterling Hayden as Gen. Jack D. Ripper. They are hilarious in this film.

2. Slim Pickens ... riding da bomb. what a powerful scene!
And hearing "we'll meet again" at the end, as the bombs go off. Beautiful, chilling, and horrific.

It's scary what flouridation of our water supply can do ....

I can swear to you, my boy, swear to you, that there's nothing wrong with my bodily fluids. Not a thing, Jackie.

6. Miss Scott
Just kidding. Since it's my FAVORITE movie of all time, I can't pick out one single character and call him (Miss Scott is the ONLY female character in the movie) a favorite.

If I were forced to pick one, Buck Turgidson would be the one.

11. Slim Pickens riding the bomb.
The first time I saw this I was almost late to the theater because our little town was having a Civil Defense drill. That was many, many, many years ago. :hi:

15. Strangelove & 2001
Gotta go with Turgidson for funniest Strangelove character. George C. Scott didn't like the way he was presented in Kubrick's final cut. He wasn't aware that he was in a comedy, I guess...

As for 2001... riveting every time. It came out right after films started getting ratings...

Let's see...

1. Man discovers that the solution to many inconvenient problems is violence.

2. An eerie quadruple-homicide, followed by a lobotomy.

Sounds like a "G" to me! (it is rated G).

Gotta Go! Trippy Stargate Sequence!
