This applies equally to teens, their parents and all loved ones. And I support the banning of ALL cell phone use while driving. This is at least just as bad and irresponsible as drunk driving or driving under the influence of certain drugs such as pot.

A graphic British public-service announcement depicting teens who get into a bloody crash after the driver loses control while texting has now been tagged on YouTube as inappropriate for children under 18. It is a deeply disturbing video. Parents who choose not to expose their kids to that video should find ways to deliver the message some other way -- and hope that popular figures whom kids take more seriously deliver it as well.

Watch this at:

And a few other videos you should watch.

2. I have a friend who insists on doing this.
She says she is different and that nothing will happen to her.

3. Have her look at some strong videos. Hope that works.

If she doesn't care for herself, she should care about what could happen to others because of her texting.

i don't know much about laws in the uk but "murder" seems too strong a word

i have texted while walking and observed others text while walking and you're definitely not walking a straight line while you do it

can't imagine texting whilst driving, it's hard enough to yack on the cell whilst driving (which is already getting to be illegal in most states)

6. If you kill someone because you're texting and driving
it is murder.
