5. ACORN should have been more selective in their hiring practices

If we held every organization getting governments funds to that same standard, there would be no deficit because the government wouldn't be able to give the money away. This whole thing is bigger than some low-level dumbasses at ACORN and I am appalled at the number of DUers who cannot or will not see this.

15. If it had happened at just one office you might have a point
But this problem seems to be widespread. How many more tapes are going to surface?

13. Let me see the FBI has the most restrictive hiring practices in the country
and yet they have employees who became Soviet Spies. No they should have systems that ensure that managers don't go beyond standard policies and quality control to ensure that the standards are maintained. You are holding ACORN to a higher standard than any other contractor has ever been held to. And these are from provacateurs who are trying to get ACORN. Investigations of ACORN's voter registration show that their quality control was excellent. As in every organization, even the FBI, some bad apples will get through. You correct it you don't destroy the organization.

14. The problem with ACORN is that this happened in multiple offices
Which is a sign of a systemic problem.

7. Both of my Dem Reps (Mollohan, Rahall) voted nay...........
but of course Repug Crapito voted to defund. Which is ironic considering the era of corruption that dotted her father, Arch Moore's gubernatorial regime.

8. Thanks. This is a list of people who don't believe in democracy. They should not hold office.
The reason why they voted to defund is because they want to keep poor people away from the ballots. That is the only reason.
