Wilson got off light...
He should have been censured. What he did was a disgrace and indefensible. Yet, almost all of the Republicans defended it. He turned the Congress of the United States into a townhall.

If the President of the United States cannot speak before both Houses of Congress without being shouted down, where in this country can he speak? If there are no rules there, then we have indeed reached anarchy territory.

The closer we look at this, the more we can see where the politics is truly coming from. There are no bounds within this Republican Party and none of them have the courage to speak what is in their hearts, although they know it is for the good of our country.

1. There are people in JAIL for what Wilson did.
Remember the guy who held up the sign that said "Ask them about Contra Cocaine"?

He got years in Federal prison, for just holding up a sign.

2. I think it's all the predictable extension
of the filth that's been preached by the leaders of the Republican Party - Limbaugh, Beck, the haters. They have made it the party platform - to break Obama in any way, in as many ways, possible.

That makes anything legitimate, and look at what is happening. Wilson is rebuked in the mildest possible way, and, of course, has become a hero of the wingnuts.

Nothing is off limits to these people. The common gestures of good manners, good sense, and respect for others are no longer in play. All that matters is that someone - whoever it might be - gets to do whatever s/he wants to do. That it would come at the expense of dignity and tradition and kindness is no surprise.

These followers of the GOPigs have been instructed to do whatever it takes to destroy Obama, and, in the process, they are damaging our country. They don't care. They don't care at all.

They are driven by hate, which is, I fear, even stronger than love as a force in the universe. And they have seriously big money behind them. That they're tools, being positioned and exploited by the ones who hate the most, doesn't even begin to dawn on them; they see themselves as part of something bigger than they are, something meaningful, something that makes them feel very, very special, very "inside," very proud.

That's the secret, I think - they are proud of their ignorance, proud of their hate, proud of what they're doing.

The leaders of the Republican Party are powerful, indeed, and my beautiful country is paying the price..................................

3. Will this lead to a Joe Wilson
Reelection? Not being a resident of South Carolina I can only donate to his opponent. I've heard the state repealed its grossly unpopular blue laws maybe that's a sign of progress.

Not so sure about this incident its not right imo.
