Any liberal advocacy groups out there ought to start keeping a close eye out for these "stings" as they seem to have become a new favorite tactic by the right wing to attack and/or discredit them.

3. I'm not sure there's anything you can do about them

I mean the daily show was basically able to make Code Pink look like a bunch of asses. If you behave oddly and shoot a lot of film eventually you'll get what you want. If this didn't work The Daily Show, Sacha Cohen or Jaywalking wouldn't work. But I think it's clear they do work (well as comedy routines). It's just that usually major news networks don't pretend a guy dressed up as a 70s made for TV pimp is doing hard hitting journalism! Sure you might dig out a bad employee or two this way, but usually you just discover that people are amazingly accommodating to odd behavior.
