Is the hate propaganda on American TeeeVeee the worst ever?

Is the hate propaganda on American TeeVeee now the worst it has ever been? I've been a political junkie watching the American propaganda box for 30 years and I feel like it has never been uglier. Never lower-brow, never more vacant of substance, and curiously, never more transparent to those not swallowing.

It seems lately like the Fascist News Chanel and it's ilk have ceased to be amusing cranks and have now become a major obstacle to a functioning democracy. Maybe my perspective on this is distorted and the McCarthy years or other periods were worse?

1. I have quit watching any of it

5. Normally I watch none. We have no TV at our house,

but the last few weeks I've been house sitting at a place with a TV. Typically after about five minutes of watching almost anything on cable or network news I just find myself repeating "really?," "really?" "This is really what Americans watch?" "No? Really?" I think if you're not away from it all for a good while it's hard to fully grasp how how utterly batshit crazy our propaganda mechanism is in this country. And yes FOX and co are the bottom of the barrel, but the whole thing, left to right, is a complete joke. Our media has become a sad parody of itself... like our nation.

First, they decide what to do immediately, then, if they can't grind it up, they shoot it, if they can't shoot it, they blow it up, if they can't blow it up, they nuke it from orbit.
