Angry Tea Party protesters flood D.C.
http://voices.kansascity.com/node/5850
By Yael T. Abouhalkah, Kansas City Star Editorial Page columnist

The Tea Party protest movement showed up Saturday in Washington behind its usual rallying cry: Americans are still angry at any further governmental involvement in health care. No surprise there. The Tea Party movement, after all, is the brainchild of ultra-conservatives who don't like President Barack Obama and certainly aren't happy that Democrats now control Congress and the White House.

It's easy to get demonstrators to protest Big Government. Just look at the signs held during the rally at Freedom Plaza in D.C.

"Go Green Recycle Congress."
"I'm Not Your ATM"
"Obamacare makes me sick."

Cries of "socialism" filled the air as protesters talked about why they were scared of reforms proposed by Obama. A question, though: Where were all these conservative protesters when President George W. Bush was in the White House and a Republican-led Congress was spending trillions and putting the country deeper in debt?

Hmmmm?
snip
Even if these GOP members, of course, are part of Big Government, get paid by federal taxpayers and enjoy federally provided health care.

is my best guess by watching the coverage on CSPAN. All they are showing is tight shots fo the crowd and you make out some green grass in the background.
