Poll question: What type of healthcare system do you prefer?
Ignore whether you think a given bill/plan would ever pass Congress or not....what's your preferred choice?

1. Should of added socialized delivery (like the VA)
Salaried doctors who are public employees (like school teachers--but compensated much better)

4. Single payer is the only solution in the long run.
But if the votes just aren't there for that, then the president's plan is better than nothing.

10. Hopefully we won't all be dead by then.
I probably have about 50 years left in my lifespan. I expect to enjoy single payer health coverage during much of that time.

5. Single payer, but I would have settled for the public option...
...but now that I'm not even going to get that--I feel insulted and pissed off.

It's now...or never. We won't have the White House, combined with a majority like this in the H&S--for another generation.

I feel sick for our country--because the corporations have their talons in our democracy.

We're seeing that first hand. There's absolutely no doubt now--when the DEMS won't even sign onto a public option.

6. Well, given with what we have to work with and keeping the economy in mind I have to go with #2.
Even if we had "single payer", being able to pay on your own or purchase private supplemental insurance should be options. People love choices, especially Americans.
