Oh, Cry Me A River !!! - GOP: Democrats Aren't Playing Nice In Congress
GOP: Democrats aren't playing nice in Congress
Republicans feel left out despite promises

By JIM ABRAMS
The Associated Press

<snip>

It was 2004, and Democrats were into their 10th year as the minority party in the House when they proposed a bill of rights to ensure their participation in the democratic process.

The GOP ignored them.

Now Republicans, newly demoted to the minority, say they are the ones suffering abuse despite repeated Democratic promises that theirs would be a more open, democratic and inclusive rule.

"It seems," said Republican leader John Boehner, a Republican from Ohio, "over the last three weeks that the more we reach out and offer our hand of bipartisanship, (the more) it is slapped away."

1. Anger is part of the grieving process
Edited on Sun Jan-28-07 01:27 PM by Gman
The GOP has lost it's clout as the ruling party and is grieving. Bargaining is also part of the grieving process. They are not being allowed to bargain and that generates more anger. They will eventually get to the acceptance phase. They need to get over it. Then their healing can begin.

2. And I Love Hoyer Using Clinton's Phrase In This Way, LOL !!!
<snip>

"It is tough to be in the minority, isn't it? I feel your pain," said Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, a Maryland Democrat.

He said that with a smile to Republicans while pointing out that the late changes came as a request from Boehner, the House GOP leader.

Asked at a news conference about the napkin, Hoyer said, "It was on some piece of paper, the consistency of which I do not know."

Same article.

trying to resurrect the America we once knew,before you dumb treasonous motherfucking bastards took over it over years ago and then allowed Bush to destroy it,to give you the time of day asshole.

Be grateful they even acknowledge your presence while in the process of trying to undo the damage YOU have caused our country.

14. Man, you compare your political opponents to terrorists just a few times....
...and then it's like they have some sort of GRUDGE against you....who could have seen that coming?

I think Democrats are being remarkably civil, considering.

20. The bastards held votes open beyond fifteen minutes.
The bastards demanded their members to march (vote) in lockstep when need be.

The bastards wouldn't let any Dem measure pass; they were calling the shots.

The bastards ran the Congress like a one party state.

And now they're complaining?

STFU repukes. You vile, pathetic beings deserve to get trampled on.
