On the local NPR call-in show this morning, I heard a R pol try to make the case
that the "middle class" is worried about the cost of healthcare reform. Beyond being a talking point, does anyone know if there are stats to back that up? It would seem to me that the wealthy class is more worried about reform. If something doesn't change, there will only be 2 classes--those with money and the poor. Then it will be too late.
2. just a day or two of the Iraq occupation will be plenty to cover the cost...
...of fully funded single payer universal health care for all Americans. Finding the practical means to provide every American with health care is EASY. Finding the political will to serve the people rather than the greedy corporations is another matter entirely.
They have no idea what the middle class worry about. Just like Rush wonders what all the fuss is about, why don't people just pay for treatment out of their pocket.
