1. Was it school-wide?
I had issues with bandwidth & C-SPAN.org locking up and pixellating. So I guess my C block students didn't hear from Obama either, but not because of some vast winger movement.

3. Go and ask at the school board meeting as well
Most public meetings have a chance for open forums at the end.

As for specific reasons why it wasn't shown. Ask for excerpts of e-mails from parents regarding their reasons for their demands.

9. Reprehensible. But it's a good thing we have tivo! I would insist they show it at a later date.
And if they don't. I would organize a screening yourself (maybe with ice cream!) for your community.

6. The speech fell during the lunch hour at my daughter's school today. They recorded
it and the kids are going to see it tomorrow. That way, the 'rents can review a transcript of the speech tonight and give our permission for our kids to watch it tomorrow. :eyes: I can't believe they're killing trees for this insanity.

10. a link to the note I will send tomorrow
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=6496371&mesg_id=6496371

my wife ended up going to the meeting, because we both decide I might not contain my cool.
she came back and said the principal lied and told her she left it up to the teacher, and the teacher told her she wanted to show it but the principal refused to allow it because some parents thought it would be too "controversial".
