Am I Just Sensitized By The HCR Debate - But Are There More Ads On TV For Health Insurance?.......

It seems to me that lately I've been seeing more ads on cable TV for health insurance plans. BC/BS, AARP/United Healthcare, etc.

Is this health care/health insurance reform already working and the health insurance companies are beginning to compete? Of is this just my imagination? Or are they just trying to hook a few people before HCR kicks in?

1. i was thinking the same thing....... then

it hit me - what better way to make it seem like health care is affordable. advertise it that way

"there's no problem with health care here - look at all of the options that are advertised.... no problem here... nope"

2. People going from company plans...

...to private plans, as companies cut back, or facing being uninsured as COBRA runs out, are the target market.

Happens every recession
