SatireAfter alleged "D.C. Madam', Deborah Jeane Palfrey, listed regular Washington Times columnist, Harlan K. Ullman -- who, on April 3, called for President Bush to appoint Pentagon chief Robert Gates as a czar to manage the Iraq occupation -- as one of her
regular clients in court documents Thursday -- the senior associate with the Center for Strategic and International Studies immediately suggested Palfrey be elevated to the position overseeing all of the republican military campaigns.
Times columnist Ullman, who coined the phrase "shock and awe" to describe the Iraq invasion he was pimping at the time, had warned April 3 of the risk of Iraq and Afghanistan becoming "failed states." The senior associate with the Center for Strategic and International Studies indicated that his earlier support for Robert Gates in that position would have to be shelved to make way for another dedicated promoter of Bush.
Ullman, who declined to comment on the allegations of his own conduct, nonetheless, said he had suggested the appointment of 50-year-old Palfrey -- who was indicted last month by a federal grand jury on charges of running a call girl ring in her Vallejo, Calif. home -- because she would be the ideal conduit to disseminate Bush policy throughout government and Pentagon by virtue of her vast network of administration contacts and clients which comprise the 46 pounds of phone records she is said to have generated with the more than 130 women in her employ who serviced over 10,000 officials.
Remarked Ullman, who declined to talk about the madam's claim in a telephone interview with The Associated Press Thursday night, "Selling Bush to government officials is right up her alley."
