Does it bother you when people say that? For example, you might post something you thought was interesting from the Morning Joe or some other unpopular show. At least, unpopular to many DUers?

Does it bother you when there is an important event, such as the death of Senator Kennedy, and one person starts a thread requesting that everyone post their comments about that subject in their thread? We would not want to mess up the rest of the board with similar threads. That would be foolish.

Does it bother you when folks challenge your right to have an opinion? Do they accuse you of being ignorant or unread on the subject matter simply because you pose an opinion? Only their opinion is worthy because they might live in the state you are talking about. They are not happy just calling it bullshit. They want to censor your opinion entirely.

Does the "political correctness" on DU ever bother anyone else? It makes me fucking sick.

2. i don't mind that others watch it..... if they can stomach it, then better for all of us.

I am not watching the show. and sometimes they have guests on or something that might interest us all. or they may say something that may need to be complained about like inaccuracies or downright lies. so I applaud the folks that can stomach watching it. I know I can't.

12. I seem to fit a lot of your questions (on the wrong side). Perhaps a bit of explanation is in order.

I will, on occasion, respond with, "Why do you watch that crap?" when someone is coming unglued about something Joe/Mika/Rush/Beck/Hannity said. Why torture yourself by watching something you know is going to be irritating?

My opinions are a bit stronger about some posters who have the insatiable need to copy-and-paste garbage from the Free Republic onto DU. It's never an interesting opinion or thought provoking comments from FR that are posted here; it's always the racist or violent trash. That stuff has no place here. (There are websites that cannot even be mentioned at DU; posting their hate here would not be tolerated. I don't know why FR is treated differently.)

No matter how personal other posters may become, they have no power to censor you. There's not shortage of censorship at DU, but that comes from management.

Sometimes, it helps to change your perspective. Instead of viewing them as censors, look upon them as 'troll hunters'. Cause, as much as they annoy the live-and-let-live liberal contingent, they drive the trolls UP A WALL. Sure as shit, some troll attempting to bide their time to get a high post count will take up the cudgels for the 'crap' show and out themselves as the despicable tombstone candidates they are.
