That cartoon of the aged, bent Ted going to the boat crewed by his young, vital brothers.
How fitting. And now, at this time, when it is all over, it makes such a perfect image. The lightening in the sky portending a storm ..... or just the usual affect of a warm, enveloping summer night. Ted crosses the rail and is once again young and vital. And worthy of the admiration of his brothers.

Bon Voyage, Brothers. You served your country well and faithfully.

1. Fair winds and following seas,
as somebody here (more nautical than I) already said.

2. Yes, how lovely is the image! How wonderful to imagine him going off into the sunset
with his brothers and his nephew, John Jr.

Be well and have calm seas, dear Teddy. We send our love neverending to you on your journey...
