http://www.palmbeachpost.com/localnews/content/local_news/epaper/2007/01/28/a2a_jose_col_0128.html

wonder if he'll interfere with thousands of ticket holders entries, show up for a five minute photo
op, and leave, like usual?

if he comes through palm beach international, he'll spread his inconvenience much farther. how can he
resist?

1. He's an idiot if he does.
His simple-minded life goes on while he is causing the deaths of thousands.

2. I would like to go to the Super Bowl someday,
Preferably when my beloved Chiefs go. I would be mighty damn pissed at any president decided to go and screw up the plans of thousands of "little people" with his security and entourage.

Let's hope Bushboy doesn't pull a Nixon and start sending plays down to the field. At least Nixon had the advantage of being a serious football wonk, whereas Bush impresses me as the type who wouldn't know a tight end from his rear end.

3. Oh I suspect GW has been familiar with a tight end
not that there's anything wrong with that. I can't believe the naked emperor is going to go amongst his pitiful subjects who "love" him so much.

14. Good to see another Chiefs fan here
The Nixon story comes from Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72. Very good book, very entertaining read.

5. He's done with the middle class. Now time to show the 'have somes' they are zilch too
Only his real base, 'the haves and the have mores' matter and all those uppity white guys who earned some dough themselves had best learn their place!

LOL it is fun watching those who thought the bozo was 'their president' find out just where they stand with the frat brat.

8. I'm not sure i'd feel safe in the crowd
know Bush was at the game. Is Cheney setting the "President" up for a MIHOP or LIHOP and thus the Dark Lord takes his throne and declares martial law until the culprits can be brought to speedy justice like Bin Laden? This shit writes itself. If it wasn't so scary it would make a good movie.

10. Have had that worry in the back of my head since some real news started leaking out
Cheney is capable of ANYTHING and there are lots of reasons the frat brat was picked as puppet, not the least of which is he is not really important.

12. it creeps me out to know that he's anywhere near where i am...
i'm on the pbl flight path. the skies empty - all of the other planes disappear.
watching air force 1 readying to land at PBI, i can feel the contempt
and corruption emanating from it..

not to mention the insult of attending a sporting event while our soldiers are
dying. inhuman and inhumane

20. Sigh.
I remember watching Air Force 1 circle to land in Denver for Clinton's meeting with the Pope at Regis University.

That sight was inspiring. We were all a bit in awe knowing the President was on the plane. There was a feeling of gravitus with a touch of giddy excitement.

Now, it would look like the deathstar of pain and destruction I laid eyes upon it, again. MKJ

23. i'm not sure ... i live in wellington
the planes seem to do their turn and go straight in overhead.
at least they're high up, and not very loud.

when you get to military trail there, near the airport,
it's like your hanging out on the runway! i feel for the folks
who live near there. i suppose you get used to it.

we also have a lot of private planes here -- there's an aviation
community right near - imagine having your plane right where
you live!

27. You're on final for runway 9L....
...the turn you see are the aircraft being vectored, from ATC, to the final course. The small planes are headed to Lantana airpark, which is just south of PBI. Here's what it looks like from the airspace perspective:

PBI Lantana

From left to right is north to south in this perspective.

30. thanks so much for the awesome pictures...
i've never traveled by air much, but the few times i came to
west palm by air, it was such a beautiful sight. the view was
unforgettable, with the canals, lakes and tiny little
houses with blue swimming pools. guess i'm a simple person, but
i find the whole concept amazing!

when i lived in nj i was on a really busy flight path -- it went
over perth amboy, i guess - to newark. one plane almost right
after the other. that's why the lack of planes after
9/11 really hit home for me. it had to be hundreds of flights -
just missing...

25. i think the worst aspect of it is all of the airplanes disappearing
it reminds me of 9/11

i was in new jersey then and the thing that scared me most
was several days with no airplane traffic. the memory will
stay in my mind forever

29. Bush, An Inconvenient pResident?
I thought it was funny how he hemmed and hawed about not attending his daughters' graduation, saying that he didn't want to disrupt the proceedings with the elaborate security precautions ... though he did not hesitate to disrupt other people's commencement ceremonies!
