21. Did that really happen?
I thought I imagined it.

Jesus, there's such a thing as being upset, but you do NOT walk right past the grieving widow.

He's a slug....................

19. From the sounds of it, he rarely acknowledges his own wife....
...so I cannot say this surprises me.

Does anybody remember that sad interview with Cindy McCain in Vanity Fair(?) where she said McCain told her she would "restore class to the White House" in order to get her blessing to run? And how that just bowled her over because he'd never said something so nice to her before?

Pig.

and make it all about himself.

Then he snubs the widow.

Whether it's a eulogy or a commencement or whatever. It's a disease of the trade.

27. Aw, he was obviously handicapped, in a situation where emotional sincerity is desired.
At least he didn't call her a c*nt. That's pretty much the best we can expect of him at this point.

32. i have to defend MCcain here, he is somewhat senile , he once reached out to shake
his wife's hand at a campaign rally while he was shaking hands with others.

it was really funny. if he forgot his own wife for a while you can't expect him to know others.

made me wonder if there was something seriously wrong...I don't think he would be stupid enough to actually snub Mrs Kennedy at the Senator's wake... maybe he is stupid enough.

36. I don't think it was intentional
God knows I hate to defend the asshole but he seemed nervous and possibly emotional at the end. He got off the stage as fast as he could. Why would he intentionally avoid the wife of the man he took the time to eulogize? If he was not sincere he would have continued the game and gave the widow her hug.

That being said - my disgust of him will always lie in the fact he risked the all that is good in the universe by giving Palin a spot in the ticket. Now there's something to slam him on for eternity.
