Could Chuck Todd be anymore disinterested
or dispassionate in his reporting of Ted Kennedy's passing? It is painful listening to him to just go through the motions.

24. Hell Yeah!
Scahill totally fucked him up on real time! Bill Maher was practically speechless! Chuck todd ruined his reputation himself by being a shitty and dishonest journalist & reporter. How am I supposed to know whether he runs a story to be truthful, or just runs it to make money and sell a good story. What an ass!

4. Yeah, but I've never seen him this bad
He acts like someone who is pissed because he had to go to work when he had other plans. There's a lot of "Whatever" in his voice. Geez.

he did a terrible job. MSNBC ought to be ashamed.

31. I'm picturing him being
dressed down right now. His interview of the author of Ted Kennedy's biography was so rude and thoughtless. A robot could have given a better interview.

6. Another classic example of the Peter Principle in action
as a more "behind the scenes" numbers analyst, Chuck was doing a decent job, often interjecting pithy observations about polling data and so on. Now he is insufferable pissant who thinks he is WAY more important than he really is.

13. True
I liked him back then, but once he became a White House correspondent, his appeal dropped dramatically. Now I don't think it could get much lower in my eyes. Maybe something is going on in his life, but a professional could go before the camera and fake it.

19. That's the best assessment of Todd that I have seen. I have thought
the same thing, maybe even saying it here. He is definitely out of his league as a reporter. As a poll/numbers analysts I thought he was quite good, but that seems to be about all that he is good at.

21. Scahill was right to dress him down. He has access to the White House
and should be more interested in getting the facts out of them by asking the tough questions and then the tough follow up questions. Scahill used Helen Thomas as an example of how it should be done. So I'm sure Todd is really smarting at the comparison.

27. I had to turn him off
He had someone on video conference to discuss Ted, and instead of letting the man talk, he'd interrupt to show in a disinterested tone that he already knew what the man was going to say.

Not sure if Todd was trying to show that he knew just as much as the other guy, but one thing for certain is Todd showed he is not good at his job. Even his pre-fabricated questions showed that he had pre-fabricated questions - very bad and boring interviewer.

I switched over to CNN.

33. Kennedy Was Soooo 20th Century...
Tool Todd is like many yuppies I've encountered whose political world started with Raygun...everything before either didn't exist or was bad and of no current relevance. Todd probably grew up with the word Kennedy being a perjorative and totally oblivious to all this great Senator not only stood for but did.

He goes through the motions since he has no connection. On the other hand, Tweety over compensates. He's all but ready to cannonize Teddy.

34. I was thinking along the same lines
For many of us, the death of a Kennedy conjures up sad memories of all those who went before him. We are instantly transported back to the moment(s) when we heard of the death of other Kennedys. An era is passing that a Chuck Todd cannot fully realize.
