WHAT??? There actually are good teachers out there? This one's a hero...
... who endangered his own life to protect students:

1. Holy cow! Pipe bombs, a sword, AND A FUCKING CHAINSAW!!
I HATE chainsaws.Dangerous destructive unpredictable machines. And this kid was going to use one to slaughter his fellow students. He must have been looking forward to the blood and the smell of death.

The teacher deserves a medal. I think a lot of people owe him their lives. KUDOS to the impromptu first responder with GUTS.

Somebody buy him a beer for me.

2. Even better that buying him a beer, let's hope the media COVER the story...
...this time. They LOVE negative, controversial, teacher stories. Let's see how they do wil a POSITIVE, 'teacher as hero' story.

:toast:

3. They also seem to hate stories about people who think and act.
The fact that he didn't stay out of it and call the police, may get the story buried.
I don't really get it, but that seems to be the way it is.
I understand the corporations wanting consumers/workers/drones, but the media? I thought they wanted to sell papers.

4. There are...
...a lot of good teachers. However, just like with cops and politicians - the bad ones get all the press

5. Is that EVER true! It must be that need the media has for a good...
...conflict. Teacher as hero is not controversial...it is expected. It's part of the job description.

And we all know that controversy and conflict help stories grow 'legs', right? :7
