We tried it your way, assholes!

CALLING ALL REPUBLICAN ASSHOLES!!!! (I know, the words "republican" and "assholes" are redundant)

You, who can't see past you fat-assed bank accounts spread all over the world.

You, you industry giants, you movers and shakers of commerce, and the wide-eyed, brainless, spineless minions who allow the former, as well as their agents, to shape your opinions...

You, you idiots who, on the one hand curse the government for getting involved with healthcare reform, while in the same breath tell that same government to leave your medicare alone...

You, you imbeciles in rural areas, where republican thinking rules, who call government involved healthcare socialism...WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOUR FARM SUBSIDIY PAYMENTS ARE????? Where would your rural communities be without those "socialized" subsidies?

You, you lowlife, insincere idiots who are so "worried" about our national debt, and what our children will owe decades from now...SIT ON IT AND ROTATE, YOU FUCKS....I never once heard any of you complaining about the cost of the two front war we are currently involved in. Let me put it this way. We In my 53 years here on earth, the U.S. has always been able to come up with whatever amount of money to pay for what it wanted.

NOW, FOR MY MAJOR POINT...

WE HAVE TRIED IT YOUR WAY, YOU FUCKFACES, SEVERAL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE HISTORY OF THE U.S., WITH DISASTROUS RESULTS!!!!

Unbridled capitalism was responsible for the crash in 1929

Unbridled capitalism was responsible for the ruination of Appalachia, which still has never recovered and probably will never.

Unbridled capitalism created sweat shops in the major cities, where children were forced to work 12 and 15 hour days, often with no breaks.

Unbridled capitalism has caused dangerous work environments throughout our history.

Unbridled capitalism allowed for the rampant clearcutting of all virgin forests, east of the Mississippi.

IN SHORT, YOU GET THE POINT. LEFT UNCHECKED, UNBRIDLED CAPITALISM WILL RUIN EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

SOOOOOOOOOOO......,

To all of the Limbaughs, Hannity's, Becks, their followers, the republican lawmakers on the hill, and anyone else who is fighting for the status quo on this healthcare reform issue....

You say you are fighting for our freedom to choose. Well I want to know why YOU ALL ARE FIGHTING FOR THE RIGHT TO PAY THROUGH THE NOSE FOR SHITTY INSURANCE COVERAGE....WHY ARE YOU SO AGAINST INSURANCE REFORM? (merely a rhetorical question, on which I know the answer to)

I've got your number, guys...

It isn't so much this healthcare reform, per se, but during the last eight years of Bush, every last one of you were salivating, thinking that the old Rooseveltian form of government was going to be dismantled, once and for all. And, for good measure, Bush was going to make sure the the treasury was empty, just to make sure.

Now it looks like we've gone and spoiled everything for you. Not only is our new president NOT going to dismantle the govt., he wants to institute more social programs!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!!

And now you assfucks are pulling out all the stops, with your outright lies, the unbelievable rumors that you have generated, with your "death panels" and such. The so-called "grassroots" campaign to put a stop to this healthcare mess would be side-splittingly funny for it's transparency, if it weren't for the fact that it's getting traction through the goddamned media. I swear, every time the media has focused on an individual who has made a "point" or has shouted down a speaker at one of these townhall meetings, when the left has dug into their background just a little bit, we find that (surprise of all surprises) those disruptors have strong links to front organizations funded by the healthcare industry. GRASSROOTS OPPOSITON, MY ASS.....ONE MORE TIME.....GRASSROOTS OPPOSITION, MY ASS!!!!!!!!

I want a regulatory chokehold on EVERY industry that is allowed to do business in this country. Without tight regulation, we see what happens. I want tight controls on the insurance industry. I want healthcare. I am among the 45 million working poor who cannot afford healthcare.

I don't know what else to say right now. I leave it to all of you good people.

75. Let's get specific.
Which specific corporations is she shilling for in the Senate? What bills in particular is she advancing or squashing in order to promote the interest of these corporations at the expense of ordinary Americans?

And more importantly, what Missouri Democrat do you think could replace her and win the state when the seat is next up for election?

31. EXACTLY...THE "PUBLIC OPTION" IS THE COMPROMISE
AND "THEY" SAY IT IS TOO COSTLY. "They"
are probably right. I hope you can take numbers that PROVE
that SINGLE PAYER will actually save the taxpayers money,
especially when you factor in the $90 billion in subsidies
that we gave to "for profit" health care last year.
let me know if you need help finding the SINGLE PAYER figures.
They were (are?) supposed to be released to the Congress by
the CBO. I think if the people are allowed to see the cost
savings of SINGLE PAYER, there should not be any reason to
argue about it. That CRAP about a "bureaucrat coming
between you and your Dr. IS ALREADY TRUE, only the bureaucrat
is actually a FOR PROFIT "bean counter", deciding if
they will cover the procedure or remove you from the roles of
the insured, because if they spend much money on you then
profits and bonuses go down. Just like a salesman who is paid
by commission, his salary depends on how much "health
don't care" money is made and payed on you.

33. That should be the opening line for any progressive at a town hall
Should be driven home forcefully, "Health care reform is single payer, anything less is a compromise!" Public option is a compromise that allows private insurance to compete.

Just what value do insurance corporations bring to health care? I don't see a one. They don't provide one exam, one psychotherapy session, one immunization, or one social worker and nurse home visit to a new mom.

Have you seen some of the people who are great big backers of Fuckface and Cheney and now the thugs who would do anything to keep Obama from having any kind of victory?

They're hardly affluent. Strike that generalization from your portfolio. It's far more entertaining to note that people living in very limited circumstances are working to keep the wealthier members of their party in power, even if it means taking away from themselves.

The irony is just too delicious not to broadcast, silly little serfs that they are..................

what happened was, when I saw that tired old generalization, I lost interest, because tired old generalizations do that to me.

Then I read the rest of the piece, but, honestly, you might want to reconsider a different, more creative opening. Otherwise, your piece become one of many that all sound the same, and I'm sure you don't want to fall into that category.

Punch it up, give it a different perspective. By the time you get to the "rural" folks, you've run through all the predictable categories.

You can do better. As a first draft, it's a good start.

19. Things Republikkkans believe
Due for an update but still good.

Things Republicans Believe

Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime,
unless you're a
conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and
you need our prayers for
your recovery.

The United States should get out of the United
Nations, and our highest
national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions
against Iraq.

Government should relax regulation of Big Business
and Big Money but crack
down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the
pain of illness.

"Standing Tall for America" means firing your
workers and moving their jobs
to India.

A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her
own body, but
multi-national corporations can make decisions
affecting all mankind without
regulation.

Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of
homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise
the troops in speeches
while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless
you someday run for
governor of California as a Republican.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents
won't have sex.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our
long-time allies, then
demand their cooperation and money.

HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of
the public at heart.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy.
Providing health care
to all Americans is socialism.

Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk
science, but
creationism should be taught in schools.

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad
guy when Bush's daddy
made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business
with him and a bad guy
when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden"
diversion.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is an
impeachable offense. A
president lying to enlist support for a war in which
thousands die is solid
defense policy.

Government should limit itself to the powers named
in the Constitution,
which include banning gay marriages and censoring
the Internet.

The public has a right to know about Hillary's
cattle trades, but George
Bush's driving record is none of our business.

You support states' rights, which means Attorney
General John Ashcroft can
tell states what local voter initiatives they have a
right to adopt.

What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital
national interest, but what
Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is
communist, but trade with
China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of
international harmony.

20. It ain't just the Republicans... the dems are caving to big insurance at a alarming rate

None of the bills currently written (with the exception of HR676) will provide much of anything beyond mandated private government insurance - the corporate insurance wetdreams...

You can stone the opposition and call them out, however, unless you channel your energy in demanding real reform from the democrats, you are just puffing your chest.

These type of rants are easy. They always get lots of recommends.

They don't confront the realities of the system, a corporate system that has bought & paid for politicians from both sides.

36. EXACTLY
I was talking politics and REAL change with a younger guy last night. We agreed on all of the progressive reforms that need to be instituted. Then he said "I don't even vote anymore." That is exactly what the politicians and corporations want. because once our Democrats are elected, (many times to be elected), they espouse a "moderate" view. Then the average guy realizes that he was played for a "sucker" because the politician suddenly wants to maintain the status quo. We need to start a new political party and invite all progressives. How could a team like Bernie Sanders and Dennis Kucinich fail? POWER TO THE PEOPLE !!!!

They can leave out the assholes part.

Every commercial could start out by focusing on Bush and the Bush years; then move to the accomplishments of the Democrats over the past few.

Hopefully at that point they could focus on the economic recovery, being out of the Iraq war, and passing health care with a public option.

I also like the idea of selling t-shirts to raise money.

A major branding effort could keep the Dems in power for a long time. Let's hope they do it.

54. Why not extend this to include all the Corporadoes in the Democratic Party as well?!
You know who I'm talking about, the neo-libs, Dixiecrat 'blue dogs', and Wall Street scumbags (yeah, the ones in the administration included).

61. well said!
I agree--let's start talking about taking away the farm subsidy to grown that nasty corn-poison they've been feeding cows... that totally is socialism and I don't want my tax dollars going to subsidize an industry that is poisoning everyone.

62. Thank you. It's very important that the age of rw greed comes to an end.
Ronnie Raygun is dead and now it's time for the GOP and their ill-guided politics to follow in his footsteps.

73. Awesome Post!
The Scandinavian nations are humming along pretty well with democratic socialism. Even Lou freaking Dobbs changed his tune on Health Care after spending some time in Denmark. He seem totally amazed that all he had been hearing from the Grassleys and Boehners of wing nut world was nothing but blatant lies to protect their sugar daddies.

We've seen what unchecked orgasmic capitalism causes time after time, that is just what has gradually come to pass since the half senile Death Valley Days B actor had eight years to really get the ball rolling - the top 2 percent of people having 75% of the money or something like that. Like little piggies, crumbs for everyone else.

Reagan, the Bushes, and yes, Bubba, who bought into the flat world BS concept lock stock and barrel, have pushed us a close to being a bankrupt nation.

Carter bought into the free trade nonsense a bit as well, but he was ahead of the curve on energy. He tried to push us along by installing solar panels at the White House, but, after Ronnie, Baker and minions manipulated the 1980 election by, gasp, dealing with terrorists, Ronnie ripped them out - and it's been pretty much all downhill from there.

The deck is now stacked and it's going to take a whole heck of a lot of public mad as Hell push to unstack it

What a wonderful rant. You put into words exactly how I feel. The fact that healthcare reform is even an issue infuriates me.. the fact that the person I gave my vote to is backing off on the public option is doubly infuriating. Thank you! Darla
