Occupying the same street corner as St. Louis Tea Party followers, members of the Missouri Coalition for Health Care Reform, Kirkwood United for Health Care, and others held a rally outside the Brentwood office of Congressman Russ Carnahan on Saturday. "I want health care for all people, all American citizens. I have the right to go out here and say it on the street. I think the other side is finally realizing we do have that right," said Franklin McCallie, a retired Kirkwood School District administrator. Reese Forbes, a member of the Missouri Coalition for Health Care Reform, told KMOX News he feels a public option would put pressure on the big insurance companies, "If they can do better, then people can be in their's. If they can't do better, then people can be in the public option. It's not requiring anybody to do anything. It's trying to make costs lower and health care better for every single American." Several reform supporters held up heart-shaped signs and balloons, saying it shows they care about all people.
