It was a good movie on many levels. It is an excellent story told in an interesting and very modern way and leaves plenty of questions.

6. I have been hearing rumors

of a Hyperion movie coming out but have heard nothing concrete. For those not familiar, the Hyperion series by Dan Simmons may be the most incredible sci-fi story ever written and for those who have read it, the Shrike continues to haunt many nightmares.

In the original anime, all the settings and characters are based on Asian and First Nations (Inuit) cultures. A lot of people are upset (with good reason, IMO) that the cast for the live-action film has been "whitewashed."
