Six U.S. Troops Dead in Afghanistan

KABUL (AP) Six U.S. troops and six Afghan election workers are among the dead as insurgent attacks continue in advance of tomorrow's presidential election. Since the start of July, 76 American troops have died in Afghanistan. Tomorrow, Afghans will decide whether President Hamid Karzai should get a second term.

8. It's Obama's war in the same way that Vietnam was LBJ's.
We had troops in Vietnam for a decade, but Johnson escalated our involvement and will always be the president blamed for that tragedy. Are you listening, Mr. President?

When a president does nothing to change the bad policy of his predecessor, he gets to take his share of responsibility for it.

76 dead in 51 days. How many orphaned children? How many heartbroken widows, widowers, and parents? Everybody loses in this.
