Bravo Mr Mackey

I am glad to see someone from the Corporate world stand up for the free market. I don't think these current businesses realize what will happen to them when they are not under a free market system. change needs to come to the healt care industry but putting it in the hands of the government is not the answer.

So, I guess you won't be using the highways, schools, fire department, water filtration, police department, etc. anymore? Oh...and don't forget, when you get old and you aren't working anymore and you don't have employer based health care, you'll also have to forgo Medicare. Health care is a right not a privlege and those that opposed universal health care are a bunch of selfish creatins.

So stealing is okay so long as it's convenient for you?

What happened to respecting the rights of your fellow countrymen instead of sending your government goons to steal what you need from them?

Do you really think stealing from each other is how we can all have anything we desire?

The left calling themselves "liberals" boggles my mind, frankly.

HEALTH CARE is a right...and it is available to everyone whether they have insurance or not!!!! I didn't have insurance when I had my child 6 months ago, I was still able to deliver at the hospital of my choice and I (and my baby) was taken good care of. What's not a right is having someone else pay for it. I was able to pay for my medical bills (and I am still paying for it) by simply asking the hospital to work with me. Is everyone else too good to do that just because they feel it's someone else's responsibility? Give me a break!

1. RW talking points over and over and over again. They are either the foolish ones who believe it, or
the paid ones who benefit from the stupidity of others.

If they're now running to Whole Food's defense on a blog, I'm thinking that things must be looking pretty bad for Whole Foods. I know we won't be back, and we did a TON of our shopping there. Not any more.

2. so much stupid so little time...
right now moron mackey is giving his "team members" two options for a new health care plan.

one option raises the deductible 20% year on year for 5 years. I shit you not. I actually read the offer.

the other raises the deductible massively for one year than it's "renegotiated" the next.

devil or the deep blue sea.

option one favors the short timers - which whole foods has a lot of.

option two "favors" the old timers - which whole foods has less and less of these days.

who do you think will win? does it matter? at the end of the day whole foods corporation wins because they will effectively lower their over head by raising the deductible on each employee and as always the insurance corps win.

mackey, in my mind is marginal business man. whole foods only took off AFTER they hired on ex walmart execs to their board. there was no "genius" involved with mackey at the helm. Let's be very clear about that. If mackey were still in charge, they would still be located in the garage sized original building on north lamar in Austin.

mackey is the perfect example of what the US would be like if libertarians were in charge. the man is crazy. period. Oh and full of shit.

3. Unimportant. Money talks, 14,000 customers walked this week.
Who cares what they think.
