3. Bad Management is Still Alive!
Based on artificial demand created by another federal government give-away program, GM 'management' is plunging ahead like the Great Recession is over and everything will be back to the good ol' days by Christmas.

This is exactly the kind of myopic, group-think management technique that bankrupted GM in the first place.

Now, I'm for laid-off GM workers going back to work, but it's not going to be much consolation if this premature eagerness to pretend all is well results in GM shutting its door forever a year from now.

5. The increase in sales is a false start
caused by the cash for clunkers program. All this program is doing is moving sales ahead, once the money dries up look for the auto sales to tank even worse than before. It's just like all the rebate deals the auto companies had it got to the point unless there were rebates nobody bought cars. Why buy a car for sticker when if you hold out they will offer a big rebate eventually.
