Stop blaming everyone else for the shity healthcare we are about to receive ... for fuck's sake
Edited on Mon Aug-17-09 05:40 PM by mikelewis
It's time to tell the truth and the plain and simple truth is this...

It's not the Repukes fault, they have no power, no platform, no ability other than to stand in a gale wind, whip out their tiny little dicks and start pissing. They are as powerless a group as one can possibly imagine... if "We" truly wanted health care, "We" would trod right over them like the piss ant's that they are... it's not their fault, they're powerless.

It's not the shit licking, rich asshole eating, low life scum bag Blue Dog Democrat's fault either. They can't help being spineless and weak, corrupt and impotent... even when handed limitless power, they remain the sniveling little Mary's they always were. Remember when they had no power? When those semi-solid diarrhea turds known as Repukes controlled both the White House and Congress, our gutless wonders shriveled and whined about not having any power... now that they have all the power in the world, they still say Republicans are standing in the way... I bet we could eradicate Republicans from the face of the Earth and they would still blame their inept and cowardly governance on the vast Right-wing conspiracy.

It's definitely not the President's fault, though he hasn't helped much. For all of his virtues and all of his wisdom, I do believe he fucked this one up so huge that our only options are to either have the freakishly malformed baby or to go to Cuba and have an emergency late term abortion. Now, how did he fuck this up, you ask? Simple, he grabbed for the middle. He looked at what we needed and what we could get and reached between those two points and all that's left is some half-baked convoluted web of loop-holes and big buck payouts to insurance companies which brings tears of joy and pride to Bush's eyes... I guess the Bush legacy isn't dead after all.

So whose fault is it? Sad to say, but it's yours... I can see you reeling back in mock shock... "What? ME? Why I've been fighting and bitching and whining and writing post after post about how we should have better health care... certainly, it can't be me..."

Yes, sorry, but it is you, you laurel resting son of a bitch. Are you fucking kidding me? When was the last time you called you Congress Critter and demanded they give us a good health care bill? When was the last time you called your Senator and demanded they give us a good health care bill? When was the last time you called Barak and demanded he give us a good health care bill? For fuck's sake, the phones of Washington should be broken, the handsets should be grimy and dripping with sweat, the speakers on the phones busted out and the receptionist should be going home looking like a shell-shocked soldier... It's health care, for fucks sake and if "WE" don't get in this game and start shaking the very foundations of our government... if we don't start doing what we know how to do best then we will only have ourselves to blame... This is our fight, this was always our fight. They are not going to give us what we deserve, they never do... We are only going to get the health care we fight tooth and nail for and if you are waiting for Barak or Congress or even the Health Care fairy then you are going to get the world's shitiest health care... even shitier than it is right now. We won't deserve it but that's what we'll get all the same. So look up the number and dedicate yourself to making just 2 phone calls a day... it shouldn't take more than a few minutes but the impact might just save your life one day.

4. You're Using an Awfully Broad Brush
Many of us, myself included, have written to our congress people. Many of us, myself included, have gone to DC to lobby. I think it is bigger than us. I have become a cynic. I just don't have enough $$$ to make a difference. And, while I give, and I'm sure others give, we give so diversely, that it is hard for our $$$ to do the trick. I'm not sure making two phone calls a day is th answer. I give my name and address each time I call, as a consitutent. I'm not sure 1000 calls from abluelady is not really one call from abluelady. I even write to Blue Dogs who aren't my congress people. So don't brush us all with a broad stroke.
