Did Obama "misspeak" here also?

On Saturday, President Obama downplayed the significance of a public option, telling a town hall meeting in Grand Junction, Colorado: "All I'm saying is, though, that the public option, whether we have it or we don't have it, is not the entirety of health care reform. This is just one sliver of it, one aspect of it."

1. Clearly, they are trying to give up on the public option
Conrad, Baucus, Nelson, and a few other Democrats are going to kill health care reform over the public option.

This is why the starting point should ahve been single payer. Obama threw single payer overboard immediately, compromised on the public option, and now the fuckers want the public option out.

Obama blew it.

3. Clearly, there are not the votes in the Senate for the public option. Therefore...

8. Clearly, Obama is the president

Clearly, the buck stops with Obama.

All he has to do is state emphatically any bill without a public option will be vetoed.

2. Nope.
I don't understand why the line is that Sebelius "mispoke". She said the same thing the WH has been saying for weeks.

4. "I can't hear you, Nah Nah, Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah!"
Kent Conrad and Sebelius are defeatists! (Extreme sarcasm implied).

7. No......
here's what the Dems really want to do....

they want to make sure to scream loud and often that the Public Option is the centerpiece of the entire Health Care reform, and that the rest of it doesn't really matter. They want the Republicans to know that if Obama doesn't only just talk about the Public option each time he opens his mouth, that the Democratic Party will be defeated if it is taken out, and they will hate their President from that point ohn....

Now see, that politically brilliant well thought out strategy gives the Republicans and their media 3 whole fucking weeks to work at tearing down the Public Option....

The Dems want to make sure that the Public Option is right there as the centerpiece for all to see.....ready to be taken down.

Those would be the "NO Clue Dems" mind you.... :eyes:

9. The new "sticking point" will be co-ops, which will be sacrificed to bipartisanship by Friday.
